I began the 'The Fabulous Foodie' blog during my third year of University at King's College London in October 2015. With a joint degree in French and English Literature and an extensive background in Classical Music and Opera, I am extremely passionate about the Arts, Culture, Food and also have a keen interest in Tech!
After completing an apprenticeship at BBC GoodFood Magazine, solo-travelling to Sicily and New York to review their bustling Street Food Markets and eateries, Sophie began a restaurant review blog which gained an enormous following of over 29,0000 readers a month and 12,000 Instagram followers in under 8 months.
Since graduating from King's, Sophie has been commissioned to write as a features journalist for The Mail On Sunday working with Tom Parker-Bowles and her restaurant reviews have been featured by Global Fashion Brands such as Dune and in included in London travel guides. As a food blogger, Sophie's advertising clients ranged from leading supermarket chains such as Waitrose, Tesco, KFC, Hungry House, Absolut Vodka, celebrity-owned restaurants like Ramsay's Heddon Street Kitchen, GBK and some of the world's finest luxury resorts both in London and in Dubai (where she grew up) such as The Ritz-Carlton Resort, The Four Seasons, The Savoy, The Corinthia, The W Hotel and The Shangri-La. And in November 2016, she interviewed a celebrity TV Chef and best-selling author for the first time for the first issue of the Magazine.
Sophie is extremely passionate about the hotel and food industry. Her guilty pleasures include scouting out the best hotel and restaurant deals in London, watching her favourite cooking shows with Nigella Lawson, learning about chefs on Netflix's Chef's Table, reading David Chang's features in the Lucky Peach Magazine, watching Masterchef, The Great British Menu, Rick Stine, Alex Polezzi, Jamie Oliver and chuckling at the weekly columns by acclaimed British food critics like Jay Rayner.
